Problem: WIN/Gallup International firstly approach Studio X for their current corporate website redesign around 2008. A few years later they asked us to make their Intranet system too. The single contact and decision maker in all projects is the International Director of International Research as the position says itself she is a very busy person to be able to handle her daily job obstacles and same time to fully support the development of the Intranet system. The project of the Intranet wasn't enough defined as requirements and it wasn't well internally negotiated between the departments of WIN/Gallup. The client tried to add different resources during the project with hope of help. This resulted in many post-ponds of the release and struggles during all phases on the project.
Solution:We define what is clear and what is not within the project. We then separate the projects into phases of functionality releases. Based on the business needs we redefine again what of the unknown requirements for phase one needs more attention of the client to be clear it and it worked out. In this way we couldn't have the whole picture but at least we saved time and were able to continue developing and growing the platform.
Results: Even with all of the obstacles the final project was done and we even had more of the expectations covered by functionalities. Today the company is using their internal system to manage documents, meetings, announcements new registrations, FAQs and many more.
